Type Locality and Naming
The type section is lies from Shaogang Village to Manze of Kangmar County, Tibet. It was named by Liang Dingyi and Wang Weiping in 1983.
Lithology and Thickness
Metamorphosed Claystone and Limestone. A suite of metamorphic rocks. Lower member is formed by coarse-grained schists, consisting of two-mica quartz schist, quartz schist and garnet quartz schist, intercalated with marble, amphibole-schist, etc., with occurrence of staurolite, kyanite, garnet and mica schist near the granite body. Intruded by granite in the basal part, but the bottom is unexposed, thickness >500 m. Upper part is the marble member, formed by banded sandy marble, 4−60 m thick.
